New streaming service Disney+ comes with a large library of titles and hundreds of movies the little ones can enjoy. The only downside? They might want to watch them over and over again.
The list of highly addictive content includes full-feature gems like Frozen, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella. Needless to say, these make for delightful viewing regardless of age. Just in case, we thought we would save parents an extra search and list age recommendations, as determined by Common Sense Media.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Charming and soothing, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh follows the bumbling bear as he battles a nest of vicious bees over a trove of honey, weathers a terrible wind storm and endures the foibles of the hyperactive Tigger. Delightful.
Frozen

One of Disney's most popular movies, Frozen begins when newly crowned queen Elsa accidentally uses her power to curse her home to an infinite winter. As a result, her sister Anna teams up with a mountain man, his playful reindeer and a snowman in an effort to put a stop to the spell. With catchy tunes and magical animation, the film sparks with wonder, making it a hit among the little ones. The 2019 sequel is also available to stream on Disney+.
Lilo & Stitch

Stitch is an extraterrestrial entity on the run, who hides out on planet Earth and tries to impersonate a dog. Things take a turn when six-year-old Lilo adopts him from an animal shelter. Soon after, the two develop a unique bond that convinces Stitch to change his destructive ways. The movie is touching and funny at the same time, ensuring a memorable viewing experience for young audiences.
101 Dalmatians

When a litter of Dalmatian puppies are abducted by the malevolent Cruella de Vil, the parents must find them before she uses them to make a diabolical fashion statement. One of Disney's most enduring (and entertaining) animated films, 101 Dalmatians will be an instant hit with animal lovers.
Cars

If your kids are tired of watching movies with talking animals, how about switching to talking machines? Cars centres on Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie race car who is on his way to the race of a lifetime. Due to a mishap, he ends up in the rundown desert town of Radiator Springs. Here, he gets to make friends and discovers that life is all about the journey, not the finish line.
Tangled

The magically long-haired Rapunzel, who has spent her entire life in a tower, gets a chance to explore the outside world when a runaway thief stumbles upon her lair. Together, they embark on a memorable adventure that leads Rapunzel to discover the truth about who she really is. Recommended for kids who love fairytales and cheer at musical numbers.
Finding Nemo

A heartwarming underwater adventure, Finding Nemo revolves around a clownfish named Marlin who accidentally gets separated from his son Nemo. He quickly employs the help of forgetful blue tang Dory and the two travel a great distance to bring Nemo home. They encounter plenty of dangerous sea creatures along the way, making their journey that more exciting.
Super Buddies

Age recommendation: 5+
A new breed of superhero is born in this fun-filled Disney adventure. Meet the Buddies, five pups who each have a magical ring that grants them unique superpowers. With great power comes great responsibility, so the pups must use their special abilities to stop an extra-terrestrial warlord. Silly? Maybe. But that's not always a bad thing.
The Little Mermaid
Year: 1989

Age recommendation: 5+
Loosely based on the classic Hans Christian Anderson story, The Little Mermaid revolves around Ariel, a mermaid desperate to meet a human prince she falls in love with. In exchange for legs, she strikes a deal with sea witch Ursula, unaware of Ursula's mischievous plans. The movie has a first-class musical score and a wonderful cast. Kids will be glued to the screen.
Cinderella

Age recommendation: 5+
A timeless tale that will never go out of style, Cinderella remains an animated wonder, sweet and captivating. When Cinderella's cruel stepmother prevents her from attending the royal ball, she gets some unexpected help from her fairy godmother and a few adorable mice. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, this animated classic might even appeal to you!
Toy Story

Set in a world where toys come to life when humans aren't around, this Pixar gem focuses on the initial rivalry between a cowboy doll named Woody and an action figure, Buzz. Woody has long enjoyed the status of young Andy's favourite toy, but feels threatened when Buzz enters the scene. He hatches a plan to get rid of the action figure that backfires, so the two toys have to work together to find their way back home.
Bolt
Year: 2008
Cast: John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Susie Essman
Age recommendation: 5+
Bolt is a regular dog who stars in a sci-fi/action show, which leads him to believe that he has actual super-powers. Consequently, he embarks on a cross-country trek to come to the aid of his co-star. With the guidance of two unlikely travel companions – a hamster and a house cat – he realises that he doesn't need special abilities to be a hero. The result? A comedy with plenty of heart.
Mulan

Age recommendation: 5+
Young Mulan is distraught to learn that her weak father must join the army to fight in an upcoming battle. Unwilling to endanger his life, she decides to disguise herself as a man and join the army in his place. Heroics ensue. Besides the vibrant animation, Mulan explores themes of family and duty, which earns it a special place among Disney's animated classics.
Moana
Year: 2016
Cast: Auli'i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Rachel House
Age recommendation: 6+
Moana is a sweeping film about an adventurous teenager who is inspired to leave the safety of her home to save her people. When a terrible curse incurred by the demigod Maui reaches Moana's island, she seeks out the demigod to set things right. What follows is an action-packed voyage during which Moana figures out how to chart her own course. To call the movie inspirational would be an understatement.
The Emperor's New Groove
Year: 2000
Cast: David Spade, John Goodman, Eartha Kitt
Age recommendation: 6+
An underrated, but terrific animated flick, The Emperor's New Groove follows emperor Kuzco, who is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator. Given his predicament, he enlists the help of Pacha, the gentle llama herder, to regain his throne. The movie is short and goofy, with a great sense of humour and some tremendous voice performances. There's a good chance parents will enjoy this one as well.
Ice Age
Year: 2002
Cast: Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Ray Romano, Goran Visnjic
Age recommendation: 6+
Funny shenanigans abound in this witty movie set, as the name suggests, during the Ice Age. The plot revolves around a mammoth, a sloth and a tiger who find a human baby and decide to return it to its tribe before it's too late. There's an acorn-obsessed squirrel that steals the spotlight and the movie has a sweet message about the importance of caring for each other. Fun!
The Muppet Movie
Year: 1979
Cast: Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson
Age recommendation: 6+
A musical road-trip comedy, The Muppet Movie follows Kermit and company as they travel together to Hollywood, looking for fame. At the same time, Kermit must avoid the owner of a frog-leg restaurant who is up to no good. It's remarkable how alive and likeable the Muppet characters feel, especially when you consider the fact that this movie came out in the late 70s.
The Lion King
Year: 1994
Cast: Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, James Earl Jones, Whoopi Goldberg
Age recommendation: 6+
The Lion King remains one of Disney's most acclaimed animations of all time thanks to its engaging story and memorable characters. Young cub Simba is forced to leave the Pride Lands when his father is murdered by his wicked uncle. After spending a few years away and making new friends in the process, he returns to reclaim his throne. Add some mesmerising tunes into the mix and you've got yourself an instant classic.
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Year: 1989
Cast: Rick Moranis, Matt Frewer, Marcia Strassman
Age recommendation: 6+
A scientist father accidentally shrinks his kids and their friends to the size of insects. Therefore, the teens must fight all sorts of dangers as the father frantically searches for them, hoping to return them back to normal. The premise of the movie may sound preposterous, but Honey, I Shrunk the Kids offers plenty of thrills for young audiences, relying on solid special effects.
A Goofy Movie
Year: 1995
Cast: Bill Farmer, Jason Marsden, Jim Cummings, Kellie Martin
Age recommendation: 6+
Goofy takes centre stage in this engaging movie about father/son bonding. The plot follows Goofy and his teenage son Max, who hit the road to spend some quality time together. However, Max also plans on fulfilling a promise he made to the girl he has a crush on, with disastrous results.
Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made

Age recommendation: 7+
This Disney+ original production is based on the popular book series of the same name. It follows the exploits of an 11-year-old boy who runs a detective agency with his best friend, an imaginary 1,200-pound polar bear. Fast-paced and funny, the movie celebrates the power of imagination and gives young viewers an intriguing protagonist to root for. Oh, and the bear is absolutely amazing.
Coco
Year: 2017
Cast: Anthony Gonzalez, Gael García Bernal, Benjamin Bratt
Age recommendation: 7+
Coco tells the heartfelt story of a young boy, Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician despite his family's ban on music. When he finds himself in the Land of the Dead, Miguel sets off on an extraordinary journey to reveal the secrets behind his family history – one that will melt children's hearts.
The BFG
Year: 2016

Age recommendation: 7+
The BFG is a good-natured fantasy-adventure about the unlikely friendship between a young orphan, Sophie, and a benevolent giant known as the BFG. Together, the two stand against the more evil, man-eating giants who have been invading the human world. Visually gorgeous, the movie will keep the little ones engaged throughout.
The Good Dinosaur
Year: 2015

Age recommendation: 7+
What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely? That's the question The Good Dinosaur sets out to answer. The narrative follows a young Apatosaurus who gets separated from his family during a rainstorm. While travelling through a harsh landscape, he befriends a child who helps him find his way back home. If you're looking for an entertaining movie about the importance of facing your fears, you can't go wrong with this one.
Princess Protection Program
Year: 2009
Cast: Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Nicholas Braun
Age recommendation: 7+
A beloved Disney Channel movie, Princess Protection Program centres on a princess whose country is going through turmoil. She is whisked away from her tiny nation during a military coup and relocated to Louisiana, where she has to learn to act like an ordinary teenager. Starring Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, the movie focuses on the importance of friendship, which is always a plus.
Onward
Year: 2020

Age recommendation: 7+
Onward revolves around two teenage elf brothers who go on a magical quest to spend one more day with their late father. Cue up cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries. However, when their mum finds out, she teams up with a legendary manticore to bring the brothers to safety. Buckle up for a dazzlingly animated adventure!
Descendants
Year: 2015

Age recommendation: 8+
When the trouble-making offspring of fearsome Disney villains receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend a prestigious school, they jump at the chance to experience life outside their island prison. Spoiler alert: they're also on a secret mission to free their parents from captivity. Peppy tunes and excellent casting make Descendants a must-see for young Disney fans. Once the end credits roll, they'll want to watch the sequels immediately.
Brave

Age recommendation: 8+
Brave kicks off when princess Merida, a skilled archer, disobeys an ancient custom which unleashes a dark force upon her kingdom. As she works to reverse the curse, she discovers the real meaning of bravery. A modern fairytale with rowdy humour and a likeable heroine, Brave doesn't disappoint.
High School Musical

A Disney staple, High School Musical follows a popular athlete and an academically gifted girl who get cast in the school musical. Soon, they develop a friendship that threatens the school's social order. The movie spun an entire franchise and stands the test of time. Children will particularly love the energetic tunes and eye-popping choreography.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Age recommendation: 9+
Diary of a Wimpy Kid follows the mishaps of a young boy about to begin middle school. He dreams of becoming popular, but his attempts to gain fame land him in some sticky (and very amusing) situations. The movie celebrates awkwardness, which makes it particularly appealing to tweens.
